Christian Mungai

Christian Mungai is a native Kenyan who has answered God's call to be a missionary to the United States. He serves as the global movement pastor at Mariners Church in Irvine, California, where he has been on staff since 2007. Christian is passionate about deploying the global church into what God is doing around the world. He is currently leading a global next-generation discipleship movement that is galvanizing the engagement of multicultural, multiethnic, multisectoral, and intergenerational church leaders via an initiative dubbed Global Convene (globalconvene.org).

Christian was previously a member of Milele, an urban Afro-fusion and humanitarian singing group that began as a celebration of God through music and eventually became a vehicle through which to carry out Kingdom work.

Christian graduated from BAMU University in India with a bachelor's degree in social legislation and later attended Claremont School of Theology to work toward a master's of divinity. He is married to Delta, and they have a daughter named Kabi.
