Shirley Dobson is chair of the National Day of Prayer Task Force and director emerita of Focus on the Family. She is the author of Certain Peace in Uncertain Times and coauthor with her husband, Dr. James Dobson, of the award-winning Night Light and Night Light for Parents. Mrs. Dobson is nationally recognized for her contributions to women's concerns, Christian organizations, and the institution of the family. The Dobsons are the parents of two grown children, Danae and Ryan, and the grandparents of Lincoln. They reside in Colorado.
